    Default Early Christmas present...

Picked up my new (to me) Pearl Vision VMXs this past weekend. Put some Coated Ambassadors on the toms, and they absolutely sing. Red Sparkle was the finish on my very first kit (Deccas) that I got for Christmas when I was 14, so these are kinda nostalgic. Here they are (along with my granddaughter):

    Neat!!!

Even if that is the world's smallest bass drum that tom (and snare) are super high!?! Nothing wrong that that. Just an observation.

It looks a 20x18 or a 22x18 bass to me. What do you find small about it?
And the height is pretty normal to (at least to me)

    BTW : Nice kit !

Just really a [poor] joke about the bass drum. Looks conventional to me as well.

The throne seems way higher than I would ever have mine, which translates to higher drums I guess. And it struck me particularly with this set as there is actually nothing stopping things from being lower; it is purely only for comfort that it's set the way it is.

Nice kit. Pearl is my "go-to" brand. Visions are great drums for the money.

    To those asking about the sizes, they're 20x18, 12x9, 14x14 and 14x5.5.

I'm not crazy about the floor tom size aesthetically, but it does sound good.

I might try to find a matching 16x18.

That's what I was thinking. My 14x14 looks much taller than that. I would have guessed it is 14x11... it kinda looks like a rack tom with legs added to it
