Anyone have ANY thoughts on where I might be able to find/buy one, or as an alternate, how else to attach a BT-1 to a stand without that small piece????? Any help would be appreciated!!!

If I'm remembering right, doesn't the BT-1 just use a rod mount? You could get a cowbell mount or some other auxiliary percussion rod and attach it to a stand, one way or another.

Edit: here's a Roland mount to get you started. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...SABEgIXR_D_BwE
    "Why is that mirror sneezing?"

"Ah, look, it's just an old, creaky mirror, y'know, sometimes it sounds a little like it's sneezing, or coughing, or talking softly."

This is correct, but the part Ira is referring to is simply called "attachment" per the BT-1 manual. It is a metal bracket that connects to the BT-1 via two vertical drumkey bolts. A third drumkey bolt applies horizontal pressure to a metal receiving cylinder, which is what the mounting rod passes through. The BT-1 is not rod-mountable without this "attachment"/bracket.
