You should have seen the amount of comments on Facebook when a photo of the kit was put on Pearl's page. Some people can find the silliest things to whine about. There a lot of pro drummers who use only a double pedal but had two kicks since it looks cool, I guess. One example I remember reading about in Modern Drummer was that Ricky Lawson (RIP) did so since he had some kind of hip or leg injury which prevented him from spreading his legs wide enough apart to play two single pedals so he played a double pedal since it was more comfortable but had a double kick setup for appearances.

Most folks make comments out of jealously. And your kit has jealously written all over it. Again congrats on the great kit!

Do you still have your old Masterworks kit... the one with all the inlays of your cigar label?

I would think that kit is too personal to part with, or find a buyer for that matter. One of the most gorgeous kits I've ever seen.

Love it. I want to see pics of it set up. Also more information on that MW kit in the Pearl HQ with the red gaskets? Looks killer!

Also, I have had double bass for years and have been using a double pedal for at least 5 years. I rarely ever go back to 2 single pedals. I have just gotten use to that feel and I am much faster that way (on a double).
