Yes I think it could bend or crack the hoop, because is a little mount point, regardless that the clamp could burst.

In conclusion I 'll get the iss pearl, it isnt expensive so worth to try, if it doesnt work, I'll have to make only a extra hole and put a braket in the shell.

    Now to get the timbale!

If the ISS doesn't work on the timbale hoop, you could try to fit the timbale with a chrome Superhoop. Then the ISS would fit fine. Think about what kind of hoop you'd rather end up with, 1.6mm or 2.3mm, then buy the ISS that goes with that hoop (they do require different ISS mounts).

For what it's worth, the ones that fit 1.6mm hoops are part number IS1216N. The ones for 2.3mm hoops are part number IS1216SL.

Also, you could always use a RIMS-type mount, if you don't want to swap out, or risk bending the hoop.

Hi everyone again, I made the experiment with the iss system and it works!

I was lazy two month and I forgot to put the pictures

The problem that I got, was first the ISS moved or it could come off if I taked with force but in the holder there was not any problem, so I put 2 big washers and they increased the contact between the iss and the drumhead ring, and it works perfect, also then I saw that the first screw of the bracket I could anchor it with the timbale clip trough one big washer. With that, The timbale finished like a rock in the holder.
I didnt have to do any hole, very happy.

Very cool. Glad it worked out for you! How about an overall kit pic so we can see the timbale placement in conjunction with the set up!

I'm not a fan of that ISS application. The ISS was not designed to hold the counter hoop AND the drumhead hoop together, especially if that drumhead hoop is plastic. If it works for you, great!

Yes, But by the moment it works perfectly and looks good and clean, in some time I'll take decent pictures.

Looks like to me Larry Mullen Junior just used the stand it came with.

    Hi,

Pearl used to make a special ISS mount for timbales. I have one for my 13" Elite Timbale (both are discountinued by Pearl), but don't know the part number. I doubt if they sold many of them, so you might ask a Pearl dealer to check to see if there are any still available at the warehouse.
