That could have been any time after 2010 and before 2016 when I was playing with John and Conrad with Melissa singing. Bill had me move out of the corner in 2016. Oh; that was late 2010 after I got out of the hospital and had barely started to regrow my hair; (job searching ended). Melissa was using that stool for her words and iced tea and now I use it for my water and song lists. It's been a revolving door out there. Really hope that this bass player and new lead guitar that only I have played with, hit it off Sat.
Happy New Year to you too!
I could see going back to this set up except; put the 14" down next to the 16" and rest the 18".

Yes; some people will get a great deal on the Ref Pure and it is a beauty to behold. Sure glad I didn't pull the trigger. One of her grandchildren got rushed by ambulance to Lubbock, Texas from a tiny TX town, with a ruptured appendix. He's a good kid and I might have to help. I pray he's ok. Meanwhile

don't you already owns 3 kits anyways?

back in 2008 ,my dream kit was a reference in rootbeer fade . i realized then, that my dream kit was the one i own right now, tama bubinga birch in anthique sunburst. bit i have other dreams as well, alongside the tama starclassic full bubinga, there's still that damned reference who is solidly glued to my dream box lol.......those reference shells must be something to own, i rarely see them in the local ads.....and when i see some, the pricing is out for lunch lol....yes, i pretty much in love with the maple-birch-bubinga-mahogany recipe.

I only have the Masters and an old set of Exports up in the attic. It's the 3rd set of Exports that I have had. I have owned a set of Kents 1st and then 2 Ludwigs, and 1 total generic black kit which was replaced by my 1st set of Exports.
The set on sale is a Ref Pure and I bet you would love it Nelson! Go to musiciansfriend.com and see!

i'masking this question for those among us who are admitted metallica fans: do you like this smoother version more,or the original is still doin it better ?...i thought lars's drumming improved dramatically.

I like some Metallica stuff, but wouldn’t call myself a fan. I know a lot of people think that Lars is overrated. His drumming on the video was solid.

Not big on Metallica here but the original song "Enter Sandman" was the 1st Metallica song I heard that I liked. Then the garage album came out and I really liked their cover of Thin Lizzy's "Whisky In The Jarro." The smooth Jazz version is awful. There are more songs that I like and some I still hate like "Master of Reality" but this jazzy thing irritates in a different way.

Frieda's grandson is better and I'm starting to think that he had an appendicitis; caught before it ruptured. I'm not sure but for a ruptured appendix I think he would still be really sick and they would be still trying to get all the toxins out of him. He talked to us on the phone today and Frieda is trying to get a hold of her son. I hate dx's from people who know little about medical emergencies.

Band practice was good this week and really brought me up. We did a song right for the first time and the others met and seemed to like the new guitar player. We had about 10 songs well learned from the list and others off the list as well. I can hardly wait until Sat. again like normal. RockOn>

Haha, you guys realize this isn't Metallica playing right? There's a Holy Diver video too. It's one dude layering his audio over the video. Funny stuff.
