    yes, your snare sound is well shaped. on the toms, it's like the hydros gets you an equ'ed mix of lows and mids and controlled overtones .

    i'm also wondering about the volume output.i always thought that you have to hammer the drums a little more to get the same volume output than with regular 2 ply heads.

    what do you think ?

    To me, the volume is the same. I didn't hit my drums any harder than usual and cut through the mix with no trouble at all. The main difference, from my perspective, is that the drums have somewhat of an eq'd sound which is nice. The floor toms are full of low end and the smaller toms have a nice attack to them. You definitely won't need any moon gel on these heads that's for sure lol.
