Default Rhythm Traders Copper Snare Drum 6.5x14

I was scrolling through Instagram a couple of weeks ago and ran across the Rhythm Traders page. They had posted two copper snare drums. One was a 5.5x14 hammered copper snare with chrome hardware and the other was a 6.5x14 beaded copper snare with matching copper hardware all that were brushed with a bronze patina finish. When I saw it, I instantly fell in love. Even moreso after I saw the extremely low price. I reached out to Rhythm Traders and placed my order. Fast forward to today, and it just arrived at my office. I was pretty skeptical given the price of this drum ($250 shipped) and was worried that this thing might be flimsy and cheaply made. After seeing it and getting my hands on it, it seems to be an extremely well built drum. I'm going to be giving it a thorough testing and recording at practice Wednesday night. I'll be sure to post a clip here for review.

    Now for the pics

Even the snare wires were brushed to match the drum. And you can't go wrong with Remo Ambassador heads top and bottom.

Thanks! I just took it home and retuned it. WOW!!!!! Definitely doesn't sound like a $250 drum. It is loud and has a lot of body and projection. Can't wait to get it underneath a microphone.

The only thing $250 about that drum is its badge. That's a pretty poor badge. On the plus side, it's between your legs so you won't see the badge. On the downside, it's between your legs so you won't see the drum!

Haha! Yeah I get the comment about the badge.
When you say matching copper hardware... I assume it's a matching finish but the material surely must be something else? Actually are you sure the shell material is copper...?

The shell itself is all copper. I confirmed this prior to ordering. The hoops, lugs, tension rods, and snare wires were finished to match the shell. The drum weighs about 13lbs and is fairly heavy.
