    Fiberglass 3pc kit, need help dating how old it is though!

    Pearl Custom Classic 14x5.5 1-ply maple snare, no re-rings. Found this on CL for $175, and bought it without hesitation. Aside from a small dent in the badge, this thing is near mint! Came outfitted with the Pearl multi-trace throw-off. At least, I think that's what it was called. It's the one that's on the Dennis Chambers sig snare, with the four separate positions. Anyway, here she is:

    nice score! ... considering that's a solid shell with all the fixin's to go with it .. not to mention MADE IN JAPAN

    I can tell you it's not likely to be 76 or 77.
    IIRC, the 5/8" tom arm was introduced in 78. So, best I can do is narrow it down to 2 years, either 78 or 79...

    edit: like I said, late 70's (not mid to late 70's)
