I'm not partial to fades but there's always a special place in my heart for this little fella.
Looks great. I look forward to hearing the clips soon when I have headphones!

Pearl's 4 play shells are some of the best and that is proof IMO.

Thanks all for your nice comments about my new kit! Coming from my thick shelled BLX and MLX sets this kit was a whole new experience for me - the sound in the nearfield is killer (especially the bassdrum sounds so much better at the driver seat). Projection though is not the strength of the thin shells - both of my old kits were better sounding from some meters away. The original plan was to have a kit with thinner and lighter shells for recording and stages were the kit would be mic'ed. The slightly lower volume was appreciated for band rehearsals. Band rehearsals and recording sessions happen - not sure about stages though. The kit would suffer there for sure...
I'm in the comfortable position to have this MMP set up in my own rehearsal room where I also rehearse with one of my bands. The other band just moved to a new room were no set is provided so I use my BLX there. This leaves the MLX ready in cases for gigging...

I've been a Paiste guy for decades, but when I came across the K Custom Dark HiHats I had to buy them. Coming from a pair of 2002 Sound Edges they are very different from these. I play both pairs with fun though... The SEs in my soulband where they easily cut through the brass section. The Ks are with my Funk band...
