Default Pearl MMP in Marine Blue Fade (#292) completed (Pics, Videos)

My MMP in #292 Marine Blue Fade is complete now - the special ordered 16x16 Floortom has arrived 2 weeks ago after a good four months wait. Currently I play this set with clear G2s on top of the toms and clear Ambassadors as resos.

I have some pics and two videos to share with you all...

I really like that kit. Two up two down has been my favorite configuration for some time now. The finish is very pleasing to the eye. Congrats on the 16" addition!

Great looking AND sounding kit! You're getting great sound out of those toms without micing (at least I don't see mics). The DW snare sound excellent too. What are you doing to dampen your kick drum?

There are no close-mics on the toms - although the Zoom H5 internal mics are quite close to the drums (just between 12 and 14 tom approx 2-3 ft. up from heads).

I have one of the new Pearl bassdrum muffler pillows inside the kick touching the batter - and an additional microfibre blanket touching both the batter and also the reso. I've been playing the bassdrum without any muffling before and found the tone nice for solo playing, but in the bands context it was too much booooom... The playability is also much better with the internal mufflling - and I like the sound the Beta 52a picks up in this position!
