Most of my work in the last 15 years has been with tribute acts. GNR, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Duran Duran, Whitesnake.... the list goes on and on.....

The kit was my Yamaha Turbo Tour Customs. Great kit I bought used in 91. Its been everywhere with me. finally sold them a month ago as I've replaced them with a used Pearl Vision kit.

Yep. That's the one. I was watching on my cell & thought it was Gn'R for a bit. The biggest giveaway was Izzy with a Mohawk!

Lol, this has provoked all sorts of opinionated responses... it's a good solo, and seemed to fit with the music you're playing. Nice work and well done for posting.

Here is a one minute decompression from the end of a practice sesh last week:

Once in a while, the singer in one of the cover bands I play in calls for a drum solo during "Play That Funky Music." What an embarrassing song to solo in ha ha.

I'm awful at drum solos but here's one from something like 5-6 years ago:

    It's over a pattern of 9/4 I think

That was great! I so much prefer solos over a vamp, shots, or the form, to straight up solos. Brian Blade's solo over jazz crimes would be another example of a solo I enjoy. That tune was really good thanks for posting this!

I enjoyed your solo D.O.T.S ... too bad there was so much smoke though.
