Default -Premier Resonator/2035 (Birch with Beech Re-Rings) 8x14

I got this snare in a few days ago and never posted any pics. It had the original heavy duty die-cast aluminum hoops, but they were pretty pitted way too much (undoubtedly why I got it for so cheap, plus they didn't know what it was), and I had a set of wood hoops I wanted to try on it anyway. I put the wood hoops on it and it was instant magic! Sounds amazingly woody, powerful, full of tone, still sensitive despite it's size and with a huge tuning range! Thought I'd post some drum porn for you guys!

I have two of these 8" snares, great deep birch drums!

Yes - the Premier heralded chrome process from the 80s & 90s does pit , especially on their hoops (and most of the time badly)!

They really are great snares! I wish the chrome on mine was as good as on your snare in the bottom pic!
