    Default Vintage Fiberglass ,Wood/Fiberglass Thread

    I think they are great drums. Show me what you got or tell what your experience with these drums are
    ( 70-80's kits only! )

    Here's my mid 70' s Fiberglass kit. Bought them on Evilbay Germany. 13,14,18,24. Only kit i so far have seen in Fiberglass with this finish. I also have a 12 and 24 in this finish in Wood/ Fiberglass.

    My first Pearl kit was a 1978 open concert tom series fiberglass. killer kit, very loud projection but still warm sounding probably because of the fiberglass interior shell.

    Really nice kit. What was the sizes? Looks like you had all of the toms from 6 to 16?

    They were 6" to 15" concert toms, 16 and 18 floor toms and (2) 24x14 kick drums and a Ludwig Coliseum snare.

    I bought it new in 1978 from Drum World San Francisco, the live pics were from 1983 opening for queensryche & Y&T and the other is at studio practice (same year)

    Everyone back then had a big kit with the exception of Y&T drummer. It also made for a quick tear down since I could just stack the concert toms into each other.

    I had a concert tom set of these recently. they sounded great and after recovering them, they looked great. however I didn't really use them too often so they were unloaded. Here are a few pics. 6-8-10-12-14-16.
