Sigh, LSD is a real thing. I remember in the 80s I was playing with a band and they brought a pretty good singer in. Bryan Adams style voice. After the first practice I was talking to a guitarist friend of mine from high school and I mentioned that we had tried out a new singer. He asked who, and I told him his name. He said "Good luck with that." I asked him if he knew the guy, and he said "Yeah, he used to sing for us. If he shows up at practice, he'll always bring his girlfriend, sing two or three songs and then start packing up his microphone and have someplace he needs to go." That pretty much summed up our experience with him.

If I can I will watch them in the playoffs as the Chief vs Raiders games are usually the 2 best games of the season.
I married a SC girl (and a USC Gamecocks grad), and lived there for 10 years, so I've lived in Clemson territory. I now live in Crimson Tide country (Alabama) so we paid a bit more attention to the game last night. I'm not one to watch sports on TV, but it was nice to see two teams I know well in the championship.

Ha Ha! The USC you spoke of is South Carolina. I meant University of Spoiled Children more commonly known as the University of Southern California. I worked with a doctor that was a quarterback from "The Fighting Gamecocks" and he had braces with pockets to put ice in to help him walk. He was a great guy and ER Doctor and would often call me from the doctor's lounge and tell me what the patients needed. I would expedite that for him. He was my age back then and died from a heart attack on the road. Go Trojans! Go Gamecocks!

I had to go to UNM because my parents had already spent a lot for high school and freshman year in college at NMMI.

If the Gators aren't in the game, then I usually root for the the SEC team if they're playing. I kind of enjoyed watching the Nictator lose. I wouldn't have wanted to be one of his players in the locker room after that game.

Little late but I'm sorry to hear about your band Lonny. But if it works out with the bass player that's the most important part IMO. A good drummer/bass player combo is a nice start.

    !

after many years following your musical endeavors, i've learned that it seems there's no lack of players in albuquerque.

.i'm not worried lonny, you're gonna put another band together in no time....

as for the pats, i'm a die hard new england soldier in and out since more than 4 decades, it's not going to change . brady is very good under pressure, and they have very fast runners in this team, i remember when the combo gronkowski -brady were burning every team on their path. was very funny to see the opposing teams in fear facing them . gronkowski has been hurt seriously, i guess a perforated lung and discal hernia got the best on him (!!!) brady can play even hurt he can win, but without his favorite tight end he's not the same

Every NFL QB can throw a football. Some are built like running backs and can run the ball as well, but risk injury every time they do it. Brady has that unique ability to scan his field of receivers without letting the defense know who he's targeting and decreases his risk of getting sacked. It's no different than drumming. Some guys are just special.
I'm sure Brady misses Gronk. I wonder how Aaron Hernandez, their other tight end is doing these days. He could be up there with OJ for the two stupidest people to ever play the game. He had just signed a $40 million dollar contract with the Pats and instead is doing life without parole. I'm sad to say that he was once a Gator.

I have to agree with Phips on this one . As a long time Packer fan (50 years) there were tough years late 60's to early 90's for us but this storied franchise has endured due to key management moves and loyal fan base. I would like fox to replace Aikman & Buck with Merril Streep and Barbra Streisand as commentators seeing as they think sports fans shave their knuckles daily and love this violent barbaric sport. Come on man Lighten up Nova it's just entertainment ! Brawndo it's got electrolytes!
