First time out with the new band, so I brought out the new kit!
After I set them up, I realized that every time I start a new band, I get a new kit! haha.

Cool pics. Glad to see some Chrystal Beats being gigged. Did you decide on a name?
Nice man..... how did they sound under mics??? I love mine
Side Kick Custom (Keller Shells) Dark Walnut
DW Collectors Birch Satin Oil Natural
Pearl Masters Maple Complete Matte Black
Yamaha Stage Custom Birch Raven Black
We went with Stereosphere. It was the one that had the best reaction / least dislike. Haha.
They sounded great, from what I was told. Haha. Its hard to hear what the real sound is like from behind the kit on stage, but I had multiple people come up to me and tell me they sounded awesome. Lots of people noticed them!
As you can see from the pictures, we have a full DMX controlled light rig, so I'm in the process of figuring out how to light them up without spending $900 for the DrumLite kit.
$300 for the 4 piece package
$100 for an extra drum (since I have the 5 drums)
$500 for the DMX light controller adapter.
I mean come on, LED strips are like $20 and DMX interfaces are like $40. I just have to get into DIY mode and go for it.

Yes those drum lights are expensive. If there's a DIY way DIY! I had that same ride. For an economy ride it has a really nice ping. The wash is a bit rusty for my taste, but I did find it semi-crashable.
Cool name. You guys have a good look together and I'm digging the bass players bass! Sweet!!!
Thanks, yea I have a K custom Special dry ride as well, but for this type of band its waaay too quiet. I actually got that ZBT ride for free about 9 years ago. Its not bad for a cheap one. I do have some electrical tape on the bottom of it to take out a little of that rusty noise that you are referring too. Made it sound a little dryer and a lot cleaner.
Yea, his bass is pretty cool. Its a 74 reissue Jazz bass.

A little clip from the show. This is one of our more "reggae" feeling songs. Its also just a short clip as the its really about 10 minutes long, haha.
