    Default Matte or High Gloss?

Does anyone know or can tell if this kit is a matte bubinga finish as opposed to high gloss...also, is this the new nickel hardware?

So...found out that this is indeed "Satin Bubinga", inside and out, with Nickel hardware...

Gloss works better on highly figured exotic finishes for me. For other less figured wood veneers, I prefer satin (not to be confused with the hardware) finishes.

I don't know if anybody is still reading this, but can you maybe show or explain the difference between the matte and satin finishes?
Depending on the underlaying finish they sometimes look identical, but also different to me.

Hey, I just found out what could help you answer your question. Just search on the web for sheen scale.
My previous Ludwig kit; Pearl Sensitone Aluminum , Pork Pie, Black Panther and Crush snares.
DW 5000, Pearl modded P-102, P-120P & P-2002B. IC Powerglide. Many cymbals from the big 3.

    Thank you, yes, you're right.
I found that myself too and included some of it in my thread about this topic if anyone is curious:

It depends on who is finishing the shells. The Pearl matte/satin finish can really look hazy/cloudy... from the pics I've seen. Matte/satin done right looks like this... Saturday morning drum porn
