    The name is questionable but the thing that gave those old white drums and cymbals the hue is the nicotine in the air. So it seems appropriate.

    Actually, nicotine is colorless...but it does sound better than "tar stained" white

    It maybe colorless butt it stains everything brownish yellow.

    It'd imagine that's the tar doing the staining, rather than the nicotine itself.
