I think the prices posted on the placards at NAMM are MSRP, no? I hope so. Otherwise, Maple Reserves are on par with Reference prices but without the benefit of a wide color palette of finish choices.

If this price for the pictured kit is MSRP, then street price should be under $2k.

You can't really tell in that photo, but the list price says $3,999 and the street price says $2,399.

Yeah, that's the one I want to see, too.

Also, I'm about to start taking bets on how much longer this section of the forum is listed as "Masters Maple ReRserve"

A crappy angle pic but I wanted you to see a CLOSE-UP of the actual finish. It is AMAZING!

Thanks Al I really appreciate it. Do you also have a shot of the whole kit together a little further back? Promise I won't ask for another one : )

Yeah I like that finish a lot and I like this series a lot too. This is basically an MMX or MMP without the reference/MW hardware and die cast hoops for a cheaper price than the premiums. I like the idea of the fat tone hoops on these shells too. I love the premiums, but I also understand they are pricey : ). Fabulous drum set and seems like the price will very affordable especially for these shells which are at the top of Pearl's finest of all time IMO. Great job Pearl!

Love that the 4 ply with re-rings are back but I am a little disappointed in the finishes. Hopefully next year some more will be added. Maybe one that has a little more of a wow factor. I always loved the diamond burst, emerald fade and midnight fade in masters finishes. I think these look nice and classy but I want more of a "wow" factor, you know?

These were the new 2016 finishes for the new series. In the past the factory has allowed all the standard former Masters lacquer finishes, we just have to ask and see if the factory will approve the old finishes.
