Default My NEW Vintage Slingerland Kit

I posted a little more than a month ago with my 1964/1965 Slingerlands that I had refinished in Green Sparkle. Since then, I picked up some bigger drums that I was originally going to add to the other kit, but then decided that I'm really just more comfortable with a 4 piece kit. I realized that I shouldn't have fought my desire for bigger drums all along. I love Bonham too much to play a small sized kit, bigger drums are just much better for how I play and what I do. I also got pretty much all new hardware, and turned over a bunch of cymbals too. All that fun stuff is after the pictures.

    So, here are the specs:

Slingerland Drums (A hodgepodge of years, late 50s Kick, Mid 60s Rack tom, early 70s Floor all 3 ply with maple re-rings)
    14" x 24" Kick
    9" x 13" Rack Tom
    16" x 16" Floor Tom

5" x 14" Ludwig Supraphonic Snare (with stripped chrome)
a 5.5" x 14" Slingerland Hollywood Ace is on its way to me next week too, which is pretty sweet.

    2 Yamaha 700 Series Straight/Boom Stands
2 Yamaha 700 Series Snare Stands
    Yamaha 700 Series Hi-Hat Stand
Yamaha Flying Dragon Direct Drive Kick Pedal
Gibraltar Bass Drum Mounted Cymbal Stand
    Pork Pie Throne

    All Zildjian Cymbals:
    14" K Light Hats
21" K Custom Special Dry Ride
21" K Custom Dark Complex Ride
    22" K Constantinople Bounce Ride

    All Evans Heads:
Coated G2 over Clear G1 on both toms
Coated G1 over Hazy 300 on the snare
Clear EMAD1 over Coated EQ3 on the kick
Puresound Custom Snare Wires on the snare.

Regal Tip "Chop Sticks" (the closest thing to what I want. A 5B base with a 9A small ball tip. Not quite there, but for $3 a pair on clearance...)

Stunning! Love the finish and setup. I'm with you, bigger drums are better, especially when it comes to a 4 piece and great cymbal choices as well!
