Oof, that's a great looking kit, even without floor tom. Excellent work.

quick update: I marked and drilled the floor tom for all hardware but didn't get to final sanding, which I'll do tomorrow, then a dry fit. I'll try and remember to take a few pics tomorrow.

I also received my drum bags today and for the price ($211CND inc. tax) they are pretty good. They aren't rigid like my Ahead Armor snare bag so they're a little slower to load but they'll do a fine job of keeping the dust off and I'd feel just fine about using them to transport my kit from the house to the studio or whatever. The toms fit right in no problem, even with Optimounts on there. I thought the kick was a 20" bag but it's a 22" which isn't a big deal, I'll get some extra padding for the inside and it will help keep it more rigid.

I'd recommend them for light to moderate duty for sure, especially at that price. My Ahead snare case alone was close to $80 so to get a whole set including snare.... it's a good deal.

Looks Top Notch! When it’s all done, it would be great to see a video of how they sound. Well Done!

another quick update: did the final sanding before dry fitting all the hardware to make sure everything was where it should be and she's looking good. The DW legs and mount I installed are very heavy duty and add quite a bit of weight to the drum but are extremely stable.

First coat of oil will go on tomorrow.

What did you pay for those legs and brackets?

That’s where I got the satin DW parts for the snare you built me Jeff. Quality site.
