Good and bad news steady... the good news is my Star Reserve Hammered Aluminum is arriving today . The bad news is the other SLP Classic Maple (that I need to swipe the tube lugs from) is not haha... I will just have to wait longer.

Just cleaned this snare up and added my usual hardware assortment. Looks like it was introduced in 2006.

I’m just glad you changed things up and put long red ribbons on it.

There were a few people on Facebook that have a hard time with the ribbon as well. It is also helpful to have a good grip when centering the snares.

I use the grosgrain all the time, but I also like the black cord that Tama uses on some of their snares. I haven't been able to purchase it separately, but I hang onto it whenever I see a pair. For the ribbon, do you singe the edges with a flame when your done, to reduce fraying?

No way, man. Ribbon with fraying edges is straight up punk rock.
