Just picked up this world series kit via ebay. It was listed as a pearl forum. However, after looking closer at the badges and seeing the 14x8 maple snare, I knew something was off. As you can see in the images from the post, the bass drum had an inner yellow coating leading me to believe it was a wood fiberglass drum, and the badges clearly said world series along with the maple shell badge on the snare. I thought i was getting a 22x14, 10, 12, 16, but when I picked up the kit, it was a 24x14, 10, 13, 14, 16, 18, 14x8 snare with a parallel strainer (that's missing some parts). all the toms are missing bottom lugs and hoops, but all total, for under $100, how could i refuse.

Didn't really see the need to start a new thread in the "Show us your Kits" section, so I just decided to plop it here.

Pearl SRX Session Custom in Marine Blue Fade finish.
Grabbed some old "FrankenHardware" and decided to set up the kit "lefty" to either improve my limb independence, or completely frustrate me. Set 'em up opposite of my SBX (Stormcloud Fade finish), which is still set up "righty" so I can work on patterns with either config, just by swinging around on the throne.
We'll see how this experiment works out.

I almost bought one of these maple Pearl snares w/coffin lugs just like that for $300. Granted it was in much better shape that the one in your pic. I'm curious to see how this all cleans up. Great find!

Looks like at least one of the World Series lugs has been replaced with a "coffin" lug, but a great find; nonetheless. Good Luck with the restoration.

Just ordered a 24 inch Paiste 2002 Big Beat, a 19 inch Paiste Giant Beat, and a pair of 14 inch 2002 Sound Edge Hihats for a little less than $650. Can't wait for them to arrive.
