    Thanks JY! I will finish your sentence "but that's . . . done!!!" In reality, I don't think I will get a lot of use out of most of the octobans, since I strongly prefer the sound of the closed toms.

    Anyway, I had time to get used to it. For 35 years, it has been my dream to have a kit configuration like Neil Peart's Show of Hands kit, but with more reasonable shell sizes. It has taken me 10 years to finally get all of the pieces. Its a 2009, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 drum set!

    Whelp, I went and did it.

    Ordered a Mapex Saturn V MH Exotic last night. Two-up, two-down configuration in Deep Water Maple Burl.

    Also, just because I saw it and couldn't resist, clicking through reverb I found a matching 8x7 tom so I picked that up too.

    Eagerly awaiting the sight of a FedEx truck.

    Congratulations. That sounds like it will be a great kit to play. Post pics when it arrives.

    Will do my best; my drumming room doesn't lend itself to very flattering kit shots but I will absolutely try.

    Just try to get some extra light in the room, and take pics from all different angles; you'll be surprised at the results when you add a lot of light.

    I just added a lot of light to the Shop and did some tweaking on the kit...I should take new pics.....

    Oh, see, that's the issue. There aren't a lot of angles to be had. I've got plenty of light, just not a ton of space. The kit will fit comfortably with room to play, but there's not a lot of room to walk around it.

    Holy crow the tension is mounting. Scheduled to be delivered today. It's on the truck and out for delivery. Normally FedEx comes to our place at like 10:00 a.m. Still not here. My anticipation is legendary.
