Is that a brilliant K top? Regardless, really nice! I just got one of those in 13", and had traditional finish K buffed to brilliant.

I believe so, I bought them used. It's a lot brighter finish than my K Custom crash, so I'm assuming it is.

Here are some more. From left to right, Zildjian 18" Z Custom Medium Crash, 13" K Hihat Top (now brilliant), and Z Dyno Beat Hihat Bottom.

This is a pair of Sabian 13" HH Fusion Hats. When you put the 13" K top next to the 13" HH top, the only way I can tell the difference is the stamp.

Hello All - from TR, pro drummer, age 70, member of a 9-piece rock jazz band from the 70's, very similar to the group Chicago. We toured Europe and the Mediterranean. We have an album on YouTube. Name: VintagePearl.jpg

Size: 63.2 KB I just joined this forum and this is my very first post to intro myself and tell those who may care that I just acquired a 70's Vintage CHROME Wood Fiberglass 5-piece drum set for $500 (in mint condition) Please tell me that I didn't pay too much (gulp)? I am putting the set together with a brand new Ludwig Series 400 Hardware kit and all Zildjian cymbals (3) plus Zildjian 14" high-hats...all also in mint like -new shiny condition. I'd like some feedback as to what you feel may be a fair sell price for such a kit. Thank you kindly for any guidance. Sincerely, Tom R

Wow...got some new wheels for the lorrie?

Curious as to your opinions on the 13" Sabian fusion hats. I have a set that I keep trying to convince myself to sell off for something brighter, but they have their place. I use them as remote hats on the GLX.

My 16" Natal floor tom came in (making the kit an 18" BD, 12" RT, 14" & 16" FT's. Uncommon but works brilliantly), along with a new head for the recently acquired COB 14x4" Snare (first time using the Calftone and loving it, holding up well too after a 2 hour session, not a mark on it, considering some have had durability issues), and coated G1 reso heads for the toms. Really loving the added warmth they're giving.

They are not as nice as all of my 13" Zildjian hihats. I have 13" A Mastersound, 13" A/Z, and 13" K/Z, and I like them all better than the Fusion hats. That being said, I don't want to sell them now. I could use them in the future as a closed x-hat or just use the bottom with one of my Zildjian tops. I think it's the HH top that doesn't sound as pleasing to my ears.
