    Looks so cool!

And, I think OCDP technically was the first company to put the extended front hoops on a kick drum, but I love the look. I'm glad you kept them on.

I recently picked up a 15" K Sweet hi hat top for $225 new. I also bought a 20" K EFX from Hazelshould for $300. It looks like it may have been made for an artist since it doesn't have the usual Prototype markings on it, just the usual big K. Other stuff like a few 8" Trashformers, a few sets of Mastercast hoops, a new Session Studio Select 14x6.5 snare in Black Halo finish, and another 1030 cymbal stand.

    I think that's about it...

I keep them on for two reasons:

    1) they’re fully finished
    2) to annoy Dale

Can't argue, they suit that kit perfectly. However I tried one once and just couldn't agree with it. It just killed all tone on the reso head and made the batter head (to me) feel like trying to play a sponge, no beater response whatsoever. Just a preference thing though.

I didn’t notice that at all.

Could just be my slightly higher bass drum tuning style, as I said, each to their own!

I did notice an initial difference but that was my fumble-fingered tuning on the reso heads once I got them back on. I noticed no difference in pedal feel though.

I ordered a new set of Pro Mark Hot Rods... my roommate's drummer absolutely destroyed three pairs of mine.
