Bought it.... psych! Just joking. That drum looks like it needs a little TLC. It's not in excellent condition like the rest of your kit (Kevin).

Ended up at the drum shop to buy the G-Maple because I had a really good weekend at work, ended up with the DW instead. Very excited. 14x6.5 Edge brass/maple/brass

The edge is on my list... just waiting for the right drum. That's a nice one you picked up. Congrats!

It's a 14x8 G-Maple! They have a 14x6 in the same finish. I was about to pick up the 8 but the Edge won when I played them side by side. If you are interested I can tell you what shop and you could possibly call and purchase it!

It's gorgeous and just my size, but I don't think it's in the cards for me. Especially considering that currency conversion rate these days. 'Grats on the new DW drum though! I bet it sounds wicked.

Always wanted to play the drums.
    Finally bought some.
    Been experimenting with maple,ash,and Birch.
Have been swapping Evans and Remo heads, looking for a sound I really like.
It's amazing how all the hardware and different drum shells, change the sound.
    I know I'm liking the thicker,heavier hoops.
One of the hoops on my Birch kit was waay out of round.
Experimenting with three different kits is quite fun.
Anyone else have any tips on their journey for their perfect sound?
