Mike Foreman turned me onto this plug-in... it works great for compression, EQ, gate, etc.

Yeah I picked my pedals up the beginning of this year... I went from the Pearl P932 (I agree that pedal was awesome to learn on) then upgraded to the DW9000 (which the box says dw9002) but it doesn't have that single pedal option. I'm sure they probably sell an assembly of some sort... But thats just kore money.

However the redlines aren't bad with a bit of tweaking. Its definitely more aggressive than the dw9000. The spring tension on the DW doesnt compare to the Pearl P2052C. At least I don't feel it... The DW goes at whatever pace I want it too... The Pearl is ready for 200+++bpm lol. Its so responsive in a different but fun way. I'm just fortunate enough to be able to have the ability to play around with two awesome pedals. Especially the DW as I saved and worked my tail off to buy it and I wish I can say I got it for 279? I cant remember the exact price. But either way it was cheaper and came with the ability to be a single pedal. I'm jealous lol

I might be accused of overload on posting my MHX Red Mahogany Masters Snare but I canít help it! Itís incredible especially at lower tuning. This Snare was special order just like the set . IMO some of the best drums Pearl has ever made.

So, Halloween came a bit early for me while perusing an Estate Sale on Saturday (more comments below pics)...

    The Treats:
Pearl SRX Session Custom in Marine Blue Fade finish
Great set of drums in amazingly good condition given they are roughly 20 years old
Chrome is incredibly clean - no rust and very minimal pitting
Got them for a ridiculously low price (almost ashamed to say what I paid for them)

    The Tricks:
Owner chose to remove the bottom hoops and resos from the 14" and 16" drums. Saved the hoops and heads, but didn't save the tension rods. Not a big deal, fairly inexpensive to replace.
2 of the tom arms were shot, but again, not a huge issue, just slightly more expensive.
All original Pearl "ProTone" heads. Not totally shot, but they weren't that great 20 years ago, so will be slightly more expensive (Ugh, what have I done?)
Lastly, for whatever reason, the badges were removed from the 8" and 10" toms. This will likely be the most difficult part of finishing off the kit. Yeah, it won't really affect the sound, but it was almost a deal breaker.

In any case, I'm pleased with the find. Hope to start cleaning them up today and then ordering the needed hardware items tomorrow.

just bought an entire set of Gator drum bags on Amazon for $189 on sale. They seemed well rated for what they are and basically they'll just be for keeping my drums warm in my cold house and the odd time moving them into a studio.
