2003 serial no. 017 Noble & Cooley Zildjian Bronze Alloy 14x4.75 snare.
I knew there were Paiste-material drums but don't remember Zildjian ones. Cool. Now the engineer will have to get on you about riding the snare! ;D

Thanks chaps! Its a beautifully made instrument, and the attention to detail is second to none. I gotta say JY, I much prefer the flanged hoops, I'm not a huge Die Cast fan!

Very nice drum. I'm a BDC fan for sure; both of mine are beautifully made instruments.

She's got some issues but is totally worth the rehab. Even with the problems, this drum still sounds great. German SONOR snares are hard to beat in the ply shell world.Name: 20211117_234116.jpg

Hi Mike, glad to see you're still dabbling in the drum hobby!

I don't understand the hardware on this cottonwood. The lugs were shiny gold plated? The diecast hoops are not matching, and not Sonor brand. I THINK the batter hoop is an old Noble and Cooley diecast. If it is, and it's in good condition, I'd like to buy it from you, especially if it would be discarded after the restoration. Please let me know.

The next question is... can the old strainer be replaced with a dual-glide?
