I'd like to know too (please). I have about a dozen bell bronze snares in my collection.

haven't had chance to try them yet. I grew out of the Z's a long time ago & they just sat in my garage for years. Looking forward to these though

Just received the chrome starcast mounts for the 10 and 12 birch Starclassics I recently acquired. Here's a little before and after. Some of you may thinks I'm nuts but I may convert this kit to an ekit to pair with a mimic pro I'm likely to be buying soon. The floor tom on this kit likely isn't original, as I highly doubt Tama would locate one of the brackets directly inline with their logo. If I'm right, then I won't be the first non Tama employee to drill these shells.

I was doing a little digging... not so fast there. Here is a page from the 1996 Tama General Catalog. Back in the mid 90's, they really seemed to push mounted floor toms, without legs. I couldn't find a pic of a floor tom with legs in the 94 or 95 catalogs. But in 1996, I found this... so it is possible that they are factory-drilled legs. I'm not suggesting that you cancel your modification plans, but I wanted you to see that the floor tom may not be "hacked at" like you were wondering.

Wow, you're right. I looked at some other pics of Starclassics with floor toms and the mounts for the legs weren't inline with the logo like that. Not a good look imo. Thanks for the info Matt.

    Don't see Swish's that often, especially in a 16.
