No matter how many bass drum heads I try, I always go back to EMAD 1. They just work.

My new ones sound great. I am going to eventually try a Super-Kick I, but for now I'm content with my EMAD 1-ply.

I'm making progress... and really enjoying the Tune-Bot. It allows me to try a couple tunings of each drum, much faster, so I feel like I'm getting the best sound out of each drum. I'm still going for the "old" style of tuning, which is the batter head tighter than the resonant head. I want to like the "newer" style of tuning (resonant tighter), but my ears don't like what I hear from the throne.

Gorgeous kit! I’ve been jonesin’ for a SC Bubinga a lot lately. The off white resos look amazing with that finish.

Thanks Mitch. For SCB, you'll have to watch the used market closely. They pop up frequently; if you're not too picky about finish, you can definitely score a kit or snare drum.

Will do… I have plenty to pick from. Since I’m not mounting mics, I can make a few minor changes to my cymbal line up. Plus I have a couple new pies that were never broken in - time to get them into the rotation.

No new drums for me Matt. Maybe you are thinking of another member?
I haven't bought any drums since I bought my Masters MRX kit and matching snare brand new back in 2006.
It's all I really need for what I play, and I love everything about them.
