I have read Peter's, and I probably liked his the most, along with Ace's. Peter talking about growing up on the streets did get old though.
He's from the streets! The streets!!! It was rough!!!!

No, I know exactly what you mean. I like Peter but he talks about that A LOT.

Oh by the way, he's from the streets!

I always thought the sidewinder cymbal stand on his left was the coolest thing growing up.

Paul's book is pretty good. The stories from the road are great. I did tire of him constantly telling the Reader how wonderful and fulfilling having kids is. We get it Paul- you love being a dad. Let's move on.

I'm with you. Paul's book was all about how he was a poor, innocent victim....a scared little child yearning to break free. He took zero responsibility for anything negative. Peter's book was great.

I always wondered about his left cymbal stand. Perhaps that was custom made by Pearl? Anybody know?

I agree... I think the cat played very well for KISS in the 70's!

Agreed. I'm pretty sure I know too much about them already…

Truth is Kiss's biggest time, best selling albums and highest popularity were with Peter on the drums.

I like Peter's playing on Alive, especially since it was the only live playing on the album. You can see the rise and eventual deterioration of Peter Criss on the Kissology DVD. In the early years, what he may have lacked in technique he made up for in raw energy. After 2-3 years straight on the road he was in his prime during the Alive phase. By the Houston show he was slipping.
