    Default MLX in pearl white

Well, I FINALLY got these all together. Some of you might remember that a while back I collected a number of MLX shells in various conditions, and mostly different colors. Here's that link: http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/sh...151-MLX-shells. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them at first. Eventually I decided to have a friend--a professional guitar painter, who also paints drums--do them up in pearlescent white. His work is incredible; I'm very lucky to know him. Anyway, after a move to a new home, and numerous months recovering from that, I finally got the last few pieces of this kit (Superhoops and heads), and this is the end result. Of course, I had to set up them for a quick shoot

Thanks! And yeah, I like that the rack is very low-profile; shows the drums off a little better And I'm gonna go with 3 up 2 down. The 14 is basically in a floor tom position, even though it's mounted.

Did I see you on the YouTube talking about vent holes and what not?
I'll be refinishing my '83 snare this year and wasn't sure about removal and replacement of vent hole and label.

Very nice Marknu ! These drums just don't go out of style IMO and those shells are tried and true. I learned a trick on those mounts for more resonance, which is to pull the pipe ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE SHELL until just enough is left inside to clamp down. It made a HUGE difference with the ones I had. Close to RIMS type result in the way they sang.

What part of San Diego ????? Congrats on the home !

Gorgeous kit and REALLY cool rack set-up. The only think I might change is to rotate the front feet so the ends are facing the rear of the kit. Or at least angle the outside feet towards the rear. Think it would make a big aesthetic difference.

    Cheers.
