    Default My Twisted DWs Racked!

Those of you have been following my "Thinking of going back to a rack" thread know about my journey to getting my new hardware. Long story short, I sold all of my DW stands and ordered 2 DW Super Main Racks and customized them accordingly. I've spent about a week getting everything setup and positioned accordingly and it's almost fully complete. All that is left is to mount my hi hat stand and main snare stand off of the rack.

My ultimate goal for this project was to give me something that was efficient and low profile. I think I was able to achieve that with this setup and it turned out much better than I had envisioned. It will also be much easier to haul around.

Any/all feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

    Now for the pics!

Amazing! It really is a minimalist rack approach....fully functional yet doesn't take anything away from the kit. I have always been a rack fan for the consistent set up and ease of setting up. I also like the look of racks in general, as long as they are designed properly and match the kit they never take away from the kit. And in this case they let the beauty if your drums shine through 100%! Great job, it looks really amazing all put together! All the attention to detail really paid off!

I really like it. Love the fact that your stands are still straight now that they're attached to the rack.

Love this! If I was going to do a rack, that's exactly what I'd want. Something low profile and sleek. But with all straight stands if possible

Thanks so much guys! Really appreciate it! I'm a big fan of straight stands. If it wasn't for the curved side bars, I'd probably have to boom where necessary. Luckily they're curved.

Such a great set to see on that split rack. I always hated the look of having a bar crossing the front over the bass drum and loved the look of low level racks. This is pretty much what I want to do with my set too when I can.

Your set just looks so great and clean with the setup. I especially like how you put two splashes off of one tom arm; I hadn't thought of that before.
