    that kit is awesome. Sonor makes the best stuff out there, in my opinion.

    To bad all their new stuff costs an arm and a leg. And if only one day I could get my hands on an hld-590

    agreed. It's out of reach for many players which is too bad.

    sick sick sonor kit. i bet it sound huge. junglelord would have approved this kit without arguing lol.

    I've played one before, rather than owned one and I have to say it left me a bit cold. Couldn't quite work out why, it just didn't do much for me. I've got four other Link Signature snares, plus a parallel action Scandi Lite, the 557LD and a HiLite 7" snare and love them deeply, so it was a bit of a surprise but there we are! They definitely aren't worth the $5k cost of one now in sound terms, even if they are in rarity or collectable status.

    I got a Gretsch cast bronze snare for 450GBP, or about $600 dollars and there's no way that the Sonor is eight and a third times as good as it, in fact I'd struggle to say that it was better than the Gretsch at all.

    Horses for courses and all that I guess....

    Wow, Junglelord is a name I have not heard in years. RIP man. I remember him well from my Sonor days. He would have loved this kit for sure.

    he was the sonor afficionado in the most cosmogonic way ,being deep into cosmogony which he was seasoning with awfull and completely off the hat theories....i lol'ed so hard at some of his conceptuals...

    every time some sonor kit were making their way in a thread he would pop in posting pics of his 3 kits and e-sh** was following LOL!!
