I tried a pair, and they gave the snare a really fat tone... no joke

    Thanks rocker!

Here is one of my favorites... my Omar Hakim signature snare, brought back to life with Fat Tone hoops, SR-150 strainer, and classic tube lugs!

That wood grain looks a foot deep! Where do you get your Fat Tones and tube lugs? Sorry if you've previously answered these questions.

I bought a couple Sensitone snares at a very good price, and I ordered some extra tubes and hoops from Drums on Sale in Hagerstown, MD.

Here is my last one for now. This is a LE gold anodized seamless aluminum Sensitone snare, revived with Fat Tone hoops, revised SR-017 strainer (see if you can find the upgrade... Pearl showed this faithful throw off some love and updated it), and classic tube lugs.

The only difference I could find compared to my 2 MCX snares is this. The rubber is semi-transparent.

But on my SSC snare it's black, like yours, so I'm guessing I'm wrong!

Yes, it used to be a clear rubber sleeve, not there is no sleeve, and that part of the housing is black plastic.

Oh, ok. I figured the SSC was just black rubber. I got a good look at it today. I stripped my Session snare down for an over due cleaning!
