Hi-tom sounded really weird in the mix, disorientating. How do people know if a kit 'speaks to them' if all they play is the snare and kick and cymbals?, not to mention to heavy dampened heads he had too. I'm not being a troll or anything, just these over processed clips don't do a lot for me, you can't hear the difference between a reference and a vision. Mephis drum shop stick a couple of over heads in there and you really can hear a kit speaking to you.

I finally saw the Sequoia Red SSC at our local GC and it is breathtaking! The Red is so deep and lush and glossy! I want! They didn't have one set up and keep them up on a shelf but pure looks is Marvelous! From the videos they sound as good as they look!

I'm still in love with Red Glass as well!

I found out that the snare SSC1465S is even available in Sequoia Red, the colour of my early '90s session studio kit

I'm considering this brand of kit now!!! Blue, with an Omar Hakim signature snare. That combination looks great together in my opinion. I've been with another brand for a while, but I am looking to go back to Pearl drums, and seeing Will Kennedy, who is a great drummer, long-time Pearl endorser, and a seemingly all-around down-to-earth guy, 'm hoping to be back playing on Pearl drums very, VERY soon!!!

After seeing the Sequoia Red finish, I think I want a set in that colour!

To me, the SSC series is a sleeper. Probably one of the nicest sounding kits I have ever played. That sequoia red is beautiful in person as well!!

Love this kit... Been playing for 50 years and this kit has it ALL!!! Great punch, attack... My 12" Screams and my 16" growls. Using clear vintage Emporors over clear ambi's . Great job Pearl!!!

I just joined the SSC club this weekend, these drums are a diamond in the rough, one of the best drum deals out there right now. Perfect balance of attack and resonance. I got a 5 pc shell pack 10/12/14/16/22 for 1199.00 unbeatable value, these are pro level drums

Congrats... they're great sounding drums and are unfortunately overlooked by most in the market for a new kit.

You need to get the word out on them, they blow away the competition in their price point and above. I am already planning on getting a second kit
