I used to have lots of mics, but I sold them all and recently am building up a new mic locker, which will focus more on quality and uniqueness rather than quantity. Since I work out of two large studios with hundreds of super nice mics, I don't need to buy the same mics or same kinds of mics that they have. Instead I want to add to my palette of sound options. So far I have these 7 dynamic mics:

    AKG D222E
    Beyerdynamic M201 N(C)
    Beyerdynamic M69 N(C)
    Beyerdynamic M69 N(C).2
    Beyerdynamic M69 TG
    Beyerdynamic TG-X50
    Electro-Voice PL-10

Looking to add an EV635 or RE50 to the list, and I might buy a pair of Tube Condenser mics too soon. I also miss having a ribbon mic, so I might purchase one again.

I'm much more interested in mics that are multi-purpose than specific 'drum mics'. I think drum mics are really boring and everyone has them. Their often extreme coloration makes them a poor choice for anything else, and usually has no special sound on drums either. I've been getting great tom sounds with my M69's on toms. They're hypercardioid and have bumps in the right places. The off-axis sound is not bad either. The M201 is a killer snare mic. The TG-X50 is an interesting mic on kick. As an outside kick mic, I can use it in place of a subkick, because it has a similar sound - and its bass response goes all the way down to 15hz! The PL-10 looks like a tiny RE20, and has a similar vibe, but it's interesting in its own way. Great inside kick mic.

For overheads, my favorite sounds seem to come from tube large-diaphragm condenser mics. They make regular condenser mics sound cold and clinical. But I used to own a pair of AT3035's that I really liked as overheads. They were very natural-sounding, and very useful workhorse mics.

EDIT: Took a shot with my iPhone:

    Alright, I'll bite...

    LDCs:
    Mojave MA-200
    Miktek C7

    SDCs: (all stereo pairs)
    Miktek C5
    Shure KSM 141
    AKG 451B
    Audix ADX51
    AKG C-1000

    Ribbon:
    Royer R-121

    Dynamic: (multiples of most)
Shure SM57/SM58 (a couple transformerless ones)
    Audix i5
    Audix D2/D4/D6
    Shure BETA 57
    Shure BETA 52
    AKG D112
Sennheiser e-906 (personal favorite snare mic)
    Sennheiser MD-421

I'm slowly but surely building up my mic locker. There are a couple of others that are very much on the horizon including a stereo pair of Bluebirds as well as a U87 and an RE-20. I also want to get a pair of SE Voodoo ribbons. I got to demo a set and they are amazing. They're ribbons but don't have the traditional 10k rolloff.

    Sennheiser e902
    Sennheiser e905
    Beyerdynamic Opus 87 (x3)
    MXL 990 (x3)
    MXL 991

I'd soon like to get a Sennheiser e906 to use on the bottom of my snare (and whatever else),
    and maybe make a subkick.
