Drum Sticks

Hi There

Can any one recommend drum sticks suitable for pipe drumming. I have used Jim Kilpatrick KP2 sticks but just wondering if you have to use the sticks with those really big tips.

KP2's are pretty much the standard, but some Drum Sargents prefer another stick. If you're not currently in a Pipe Band, go to the Mulligan and MacHendry site. They sell just about every Pipe Band snare stick made. The problem is if you get used to playing on one stick, then join a band where the snare line uses another stick, you'll have to get used to the new one. I suggest sticking with the K2 right now if you're just practicing on your own...............

I just picked up a pair of KP2's and cant wait to try them. Have a parade this Saturday and wanted to try them. They replace my 15 year old Cameron slim pros.
