Default YAMAHA Steve Gadd 40th Anniversary Snare.

I've had this snare for a while and only cracked it recently for a decent hit, not a bad drum at the price point.

Not my snare, but I thought youd guys would want to see these pictures that I saw on a different forum. In fact, the person is selling it.

Pearl 5.5x14 steel shell, 8-lug w/center bead, "Electric Blue" alcohol ink finish.

Interesting finish but it doesn't look like the badge was removed before applying it.

It also might look nicer on a higher quality steel snare drum like Sensitone.

I think if I was trying something I’m not sure how it would go over I think I would use a cheaper drum too.

Ive seen this guy on the Pearl Facebook page. He’s also the guy that did the soup can drum kit.

I think his asking price is a little high. Can alcohol ink even get wet?

    Soup Can kit?

I have no idea about what stability & longevity an alcohol finish has or how it’s even done. I think it’s pretty wild looking nevertheless.

Not my particular choice; but definitely a unique finish.

The soup can kit cracks me up.

Just got this today. 14"x10". I'm guessing its a 1990s "Competitor" mahogany marching snare. I put hydraulic red batter and ambassador snare side. I bought it to serve as a hybrid fat snare / tom. I'm still dialing in the tuning. Any additional information would be welcome.
