    Looks great!
What style of bearing edge did you order? Also, what's the shape of the snare beds?

45° single bearing edges, with a small round over on the outside.

The snare beds are quite wide (1/8th of the perimeter), with a wide curve.

edit : that dark spot you can see on the bottom of the right lug is a hole.

Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted to hear! Now I just have to gather enough Tama hardware and order that 13/7 shell I've been contemplating for so long.

That's a neat idea... making a mock Tama bell brass?

Yeah, I've been wanting a 13/7 bell brass forever. Vukan made me a very reasonable quote for a 13/7 shell, but Tama snare hardware is insanely pricey when purchased separately, so I've been hunting for a 13" donor snare for a while, and still am.

    You're welcome !

That's a nice idea. I saw a Sonor HLD590 replica, with signature hardware and an Oriollo shell, that was quite nice too.

Also, this belongs to a fellow drummer, 13x7 goodness, 4mm thick.

You could get any Tama snare drum and get 13" hoops and snare wires, should be a lot easier.

BTW, you can ask any bearing edge profile you want, they are custom made.

Were you hoping for 6 or 8 lugs? Many of the 13" Tama snare drums have 6 lugs. I'd try for 8.

    Good point.

Those lugs aren't very attractive or practical.

Already answered that. There's all the room in the world for the tension rods, since there are holes machined in the back of the lugs for that purpose.

Yeah, I saw that on Oriollo's fb, and it made me drool, haha.
I'm actually considering breaking down my newly acquired g-walnut for parts, because honestly I'm not loving it so far. It has the strainer/butt I want and enough lugs, although the tubes have to be shortened (they are 80mm now and I need 60mm tubes). I will only need two 13 Tama die cast hoops. Problem is, these are 50 euros a piece, and also I'm not entirely sure it's the right thing to break down a brand new snare.
