I played a couple of gigs last weekend... my first public gigs with an audience in almost a year because of the pandemic. It felt good to play to humans, instead of a camera (even if it was just a couple weddings).

Cool Miles. Clean tasty setup with a wild ride cymbal!

The white mic stands, monitors and cables are tripping me out. Is that the venue's/soundman's idea?

    Rich people love white weddings!

No joke. I play in a bunch of wedding bands that use the same AV company, who provides all white stage & PA options because "all white everything" is a pretty common request in the world of weddings.

That Ride is pretty choice. I had an endorsement deal with Murat Diril for a bit, and still have some of their cymbals. This 21" Dizzy Ride is a Swiss Army Knife. Warm, responsive and a little complex. It's interesting, and you can play jazz on it, but it has enough definition for pop, r&b etc. Nicely crashable... I could go for a little more "ping" from the bell, but I'd rather have it more controlled as opposed to lazerbeaming people's ears.

I don't have IG so I can't hear it. But I can appreciate an all-around performer like my vintage Zildjian A Med Ride. It's not particularly distinct in any way, but it does serve well in a lot of settings. I have LOTS of one-trick pony rides.

I'm not in the wedding scene (obviously); but makes sense. In my world of all-black equipment, its the first thing my eyes caught!

It IS a nice day for a white wedding.

Those are sweet Premiers!! The Community College jazz band had a set of Premiers to play during the semester I was there. I have a set of Signia Marquis drums that I will never sell. Fabulous drums
