I have a set of Generation X cymbals and i love them, more than my zildjians. Plus the drumbals that came with the pack rock.

If I wasn't a little Zildjian ***** I'd jump on the Byzances quicker than a rabbit in heat. I love their sound...but I'm too emotinally attached to my Zildjian's and they sound wonderful too.

They don't make 19" crashes, but they do have some series where there ar 18 1/2" crashes. I think.

L7B, do you have a 14" Filter China? That one interests me a little bit... I think I'm obsessive over china cymbals. XD

www.midwestpercussion.com is where I'd get them.

That's the cheapest of the few places I've found them and it's a pretty good place for just about anything you need, from what I can see.

Yes i do, its a very fast china think of it as a paiste signature fast crash but with an oriental sound, its sustain only lasts about 5 seconds.

Hmmm... Now I come to the more important question:

Will I be able to hear it over loud cymbals being neanderthal-alised?

If it's about as loud as open 14" hats, then it should be ok.

Rakers seem highly sweet. I plan on using a few of 'em myself... Hats, Splashes, Chinas and a few Crashes.
