    Default Drummeric's Wine Red Goldmine

I was hoping to wait until I had professional photos taken before posting the new kit, but it's still going to be a couple more weeks out before I can get both the photographer and studio booked together. I figure I'll just post what I have for now. Please excuse the mess in the room with them. I need to rearrange my studio located right next to this family room, to allow for this new kit along with my others.

Thanks to my wife for being on board with me getting my Dream Drum Set. Also, thanks to Al and Tom for working with me on the custom aspects of some of the drums. And the dealer, Matt at www.musicforall.biz for working with me and Pearl to get all the specific details worked out, as well as providing superior customer service along with incredible pricing!

    Specs:

Wine Red (#100) with Gold hardware

    Reference

    22x18 BD (black Masters Reso)
    22x18 BD (black Masters Reso)
    16x16 FT
    14x14 FT
    12x8 RT
    10x8 RT
    8x8 RT

    Masterworks

    14x5.5 Snare 10-ply (2 birch/6maple/2 birch)
    6x7 RT (in 8" Ref specs - maple/birch - Optimount)

    Misc.

I use a side snare usually. I like my scarlet fade Reference snare, but it is currently packed with my gigging kits, so pictured here is my Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute in cherry wood finish. Seems to match the wine red of the Pearl nicely.

    Hardware

All hardware is 24K gold plated, except the rack and rack clamps. Pearl provided the gold tom holders. I had to purchase the rest of the stands in standard chrome, and then sent offsite to be 24K gold plated. Just received the last batch back from the plating facility two days ago. The rack is a DR-110 (I believe that's the model #) that I've had for 15 years or so. I also have the top tier for it that I used to suspend my cymbals from, so they would hang down (very 80's rock/metal look ). I'm now using a bar from that top tier just behind my ride cymbla to get a better angle for the cymbals on that side. It is rock solid, and I like the straight horizontal line the cross bars provide. A couple of battle scars on it, but I will be getting it powder coated after the holidays.

    Electronics

Pictured are the Roland SPD-20 percussion pad, and SPD-S sampler pad. There is also a pictured Hart Hammerkick trigger attached to the double pedal. I also use these units live with my gigging kits. There are also some Roland PD-8's that I haven't figured out placement for. Chances are most of the electronics won't actually be part of this kit on a regular basis, but what the heck - it makes for a 'busier' photo.

Anyway...I tend to ramble on and on (known from my previous threads)...so without further delay...

I never liked gold lugs and hoops ---- because the chrome stands just don't go.
Now the gold hardware and black rack look great!! Nice choice of color!

I wish I could have told you about those Remo Powersonic heads BEFORE you bought them. You will find the PS3 are the way to go. Those Powersonics are junk! The muffling will last 2 weeks tops before it stops sticking and falling all over the place.

    Amazing looing kit! Just breathtaking!!

I think with all the money he spent on this kit, $60 to replace bass heads won't kill him :P

    BEAUTIFUL man, absolutely gorgeous.
One Brick of Vic Firth 5A wood tip hickory American Classics available. Got them as a prize for a drum competition, but I use 5B's. Very flexible on the pricing. PM for details.
