He had two broken lugs and a few that the plating wasn't finished on. It seems to be an isolated incident. We've had very few reports of Reference lug problems. As always we back our product so I wouldn't worry. Steven will receive a complete set of warranty replacement lugs.
    Hehe, I'll slow down

And I know you're 100% behind the products.

Trust me if we experience any kind of reported problem beit a one off isolated issue or otherwise we alert the factory so it can be corrected.

You're still on the buy one reference drum and get one free deal right?

I have to add that we're just kidding about this. It's a long running joke between us...Don't want anyone to think there really is a deal like that.
    Sorry Al.

And once again Pearl comes through and takes care of another customer. That is why "Pearl is the only reason to play drums"

It is great for Pearl (Al and Gene!) to come through to help me out. It's so nice when you are able to take care of things directly sometimes versus contacting dealers and hoping they can do something in a timely manner. Mass Music is YET to contact me since I left messages yesterday, not like it matters now, but its just one of the hassles...

    Thanks again Pearl!

    Thanks again Pearl!
And that's why Pearl has the best customer service of all the drum companies. Try what you just did with DW or one of the other companies and I don't think you would get the same result. IF you could even get in touch with a person....

If Tama is one of the other drum companies that you're referring to, I had stellar results in three separate instances with Tama. I don't want to bore anyone with details.

I see no reason why great customer service should not be a given in most instances with other companies. I've been with this forum about a year and seen some incredible customer service from AL.

    Nice going.
