You do realise the foam ring goes on the inside of your kick.

Are you that much of a newbie drummer that you've never seen an evans emad, or just super desperate to say something rude?

    I'm betting the latter.

No to both. The foam goes inside on the Emad you dont tape it to the outside of your batter. Whose the noob?

EMAD = Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping

And just about everybody who's ever used one knows that the plastic that holds the foam to the head tends to get brittle and break, hence the duct tape.

Cool stuff, you should try a Superkick II bass drum head, its like an emad but you don't need Gaffa tape to hold the dampening ring on because there isn't one Mabey you should lower your cymbals just a tad??? bring them down below eye leve, alot better for them.

Looks like your other thread got closed down, what i was gona say was:

When I saw the pics, the tight jeans and the hair cuts etc I expected something... well bad lol. But actually the music is really good, its not totally simplified and boring, there's actually an element of musicality to it. I could happily sit and listen through a whole album of your material. its got enough influence from modern hardcore bands to make it heavy and enough influence from metal to make it interesting. Really cool. Your double bass is really good.

External meaning not built into the head. Do you put the plastic "cradle on the outside of your drum? No. The ring is meant to sit in the cradle on the inside of the drum. it will work on the outside but there are two problems 1. It looks like crap. 2. It gets in the way of your pedal clamp.
I used an Emad when they first came out. Works great but a pillow is much cheaper and works just as well.
