    I would choose the new export, because for an extra $60 (at massmusic) you get all maple, instead of maple/basswood.

    I think this set sounds amazing at least off the videoon pearls site.I'm impressed and i think this might be a new replacment fpr my ex that seems to not be so to my likings at all....and o yea new 2ply protones on these things i wounder how nice there going to sound im excited and also happy i love birch shells

    Are you Peter Chris? Do you or have you filled in for Peter Chris? I hope you don't think I'm totally stupid; but when I look at your kits I see Peter Chris and the rest of Kiss. To me they represent a change in feelings from the early 70's (Peace) to "leave me alone or I'll kill you!" attitude. I was infatuated with the look which spoke vollumes of internal changes, so I bought an LP and I loved the sound.
    00** I love the look of the vision in Strata white and am trying to decide on getting a standard EXR in Strata white, get the new Vision; Birch and Basswood plied for each drum; or stay all Poplar. My brain goes buy buy!!!
