    Rush,

For my cajons, I took one of the Schlagwerk cajon mics and installed it inside of a Cajon Port so that all I have to do is take the cajon port in and out of the cajons (or switch it between cajons) in order to mic them.

The first option I tried was using a May internal SM57 mic (which is shorter than the external version) and mounting it behind the cajon with a removable yellow clamp from one of the original Pearl Hernandez cowbells. It worked very well but the clamp mounted to the outside made it impossible to get my cajon in the case.

    Very wise thinking
Pearl, Ludwig, Tama, Slingerland, Premier Drums
    Zildjian, Sabian, Zyn Cymbals
PEARL, LUDWIG, TAMA, NATAL and DW Snares
Roland, Yamaha and Dauz Electronics, and loads of Percussion

3 Kits and 7 Snares, and I still don't have enough!

    Default Gibraltar SC-DCT Customization

I wanted to mount an additional cymbal on my kit, and wanted a piece of hardware like this.

This Gibraltar version doesn't quite allow the distance needed to mount an 8" cymbal next to a vertical post. Also, the design and look was a little clunky. I replaced the tilter with a Tama version, and replaced the 4 key bolts with pan head hex bolts and set screws. Now it looks much nicer and will hold an 8" cymbal comfortably next to the vertical post.

The cleanliness made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Lol, It just looks so organic, like it was meant to be.
