    Zoro devotes some of his time in his 2005 Modern Drummer clinic going over the half time shuffle.

    I highly recommend those in question to check that out.

    Hey man, don't worry about posting this kind of stuff here. The Mods will very likely delete this thread and most members here can't be bothered to discuss things that aren't about drum plies or video games. Sad but honest truth.

    And check out Zoro's book, "The Commandments of R&B Drumming." It covers half-time shuffles as well as a ton of other great grooves!

    I'd also recommend Chet Baker's Live in Bologna for all you jazzers. It's a simple bass - guitar - trumpet trio, adding drums (brushes work well here) is easy. Plus the musicians are all top-notch, great things happen there.
