    Ive made the text into hyperlinks now, and will continue this way of working too. It just lets me no there'll be no problems from the reasons links were broken before

    I use 2Bs, just because they fit my hand better than smaller sticks. What about everyone else?

    i like dave weckl's sticks as well as 7a vic firths. i also enjoy playing the dennis chambers sigs from zildjian. the tip gives a clear distinct sound on my cymbals unlike no other stick ive played. i also like the roy haynes sig stick and it probably is my favorite stick of all. the but end is light and the stick is just a beauty to have. when i can i try to get the box of them instead of a single pair.

    Those things are nice, the only problem is when your hands get sweaty coz they tend to slip more
    I'm working on getting as much on as I can! So far my October holiday has been PDF university, but, hey, its fun

    I disagree. I have found that they slip LESS in my hands when sweating it up, as they are more pourous and dissipate the moisture better.

    Either way tho, I use Ahead grip tape as it maes it more comfortable on my hands, and reduces stick vibration somewhat. I use that tape on both wood and carbon sticks alike.

    As a measure of longevity;

    Vic Firth 5B hickory : lasted average 4 weeks
    Vater 5B Hickory : Lasted average 5/6 weeks
    CarboSticks : Lasted average 8 weeks
    Ahead alloy : Lasted either 10 or 12 weeks (can't remember)

    Prices (UK)

    Vic Firth : £8 pr
    Vater : £8.50 pr
    Carbo : £10 pr
    Ahead : £23 pr

    So money vs longevity - Carbosticks win - least for me they do

    That unusual. my drumstore even stopped brining in carbos cause so many people complained that they were bad

    I did have to use a pair duiong one band practise tho - they werent terribly bad with slippiness but still a little problem for me
