Not off the top of my head but Mike Portnoys site has a "Play Mikes kit" section where you can get a pretty accurate version of how they sound.

    www.mikeportnoy.com

Billy Cobham, Portnoy and Tim Alexander are all (or were) Octoban users and you can more then likley hear them on some of their recordings.

Stewart Copeland used/uses them too. Check out Driven to Tears by The Police (on the Zenyatta Mondatta album) for a good example.

I play octobans..........but I'm not on the web site.
Get the pearl quarter toms if you are thinking about buying some. My octobans cost a fortune and it will be another $85 to put heads on them. Don't get me wrong they are cool just expensive and not for everything.

The first video of Simon Phillips has octobans near the end. It's a fantastic clip anyway!

I find it funny that you gave advise to a thread that has not been posted on since September.

I find it funny that you commented on him for doing that!
    Dutch: What happened to him?
Vic: He came at me. He was unarmed. I took him down old school.
    Dutch: Old as in medieval?
